Calwyn is from Antaris is the world of Tremaris. Their country is surrounded by a high ice-wall to keep out intruders. One day they are strengthening the walls around Antaris and Calwyn comes across a man laying across the path. He says he flew across the wall. When he is recovering from a crushed foot a sorcerer comes looking for him. He escapes and Calwyn follows him. Together with a few other people they meet along the way they must defeat the sorcerer who wants to become the singer of all songs.
