Cleopatra VII Daughter of the Nile

Cleopatra is the third youngest daughter of the Pharoah. Since the attempts on her father's life, he has gone into hiding. Now Cleopatra fears someone might be after her. The people of Alexandria seem to dislike Cleopatra, though she is the only of her siblings who understands the people. Her sister, Berenice, is too laid back to care, her sister, Tryphaena, is a ruthless dictator, and her other siblings are still too young. When King Ptolemy flees to Rome, he takes Cleopatra with him. Cleopatra's knowledge of many languages is useful when dealing with Roman officials and generals, but she cannot wait to return to her beloved Alexandria. When Tryphaena attempts to take her father's throne and is murdered, twelve-year-old Cleopatra must single-handedly avert a revolution and a war with Rome.
